Waynetown, Ind. - Mrs. Elsie Mae Florey, 85, of Indianapolis, died at 5:10 a.m. Saturday (Aug 4, 1973) at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. She had been a patient at the Small Rest Home in Waynetown since June of 1972. Born Feb 22, 1888 in Stone Bluff, she was the daughter of John and Cora Quigle Smith. She was married to Clinton M. Florey of Attica on Aug. 29, 1903. She lived in Fountain County until 1928. Mrs. Florey was a retired employee of L.S. Ayers and Co and a member of the Newtown Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a son, Walter L. of Indianapolis; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Rankins of Waynetown and Mrs. Mildred Bruhn of Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs. Flossie Sutton of Indianapolis; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons and a sister. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Shirley Brothers-Drexel Funeral Home in Indianapolis. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Washington Park Cemetery East in Indianapolis. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Sunday at the Servies-Thomas funeral Home in Waynetown and afaer 5 p.m. Monday at Shirley Brothers-Drexel Funeral Home in Indianapolis.
